THE STAB "punk 77, The Stab Discography" CD. City of the Dead
The history of this Oi!-punk band started in Bologna (Italy) back in ´88,
with members from Nabat and Rude Pravo. This CD compiles all the stuff
released from their demo in ´90 to the last album from ´94. They sound a
good mix of classic bands on the line of SLF, The Clash and sometimes they
make me think about Red London, but sung in Italian. The CD is opened by
the "punk 77" EP and with one of the best band´s song for me "Bianco e
Nero", and 3 tracks more. Then we have the song "Un´ altra primavera"
released on the compilation "Oi! Siamo ancora qui", then 5 songs from
their demo "The Stab"and at last, the 12 songs which formed their album
"Nessun ribelle…". As a bonus we can listen to an unreleased song "Groovy
Times" by The Clash. My faves are also "Tempi Moderni", "Sogni di Gloria"
and the good "The Boys of the old Brigade" about Irish rebels. 7,5/10
